My Punk Baby Brother

Last Wednesday my family got wonderful news.

My littlest brother was called on a Mission for our Church

The post office called him early Wednesday morning (about 6:45) to let him know there was a letter from church headquarters for him. The post office in the little city he lives in does this, so the new missionary can come and pick the letter up, and doesn’t have to wait for the mail to be delivered.

My little brother was kind enough to wait until later that night when the whole family could gather for the opening of the letter. We were so excited!

He is going to the Lansing Michigan Mission
(basically all of Michigan except the Detroit area)

YAY!!!!!

I am so proud of my brother, he has grown into such a wonderful man.

He leaves February 18th

(or is it the 19th…gasp, how embarrassing!)
only a few days after his 19th birthday.

Good luck Chaddy

we love you!

The only down side…

I am going to miss him!

(p.s. if any of you live in Michigan and you see some punk Mormon missionary, that could be my brother! honk and wave!)

SLAVE

My baby girl is 4 1/2 years old and has a hard time talking so she can be understood. I have been trying to work on this with her. Whenever she says something a little off we will try out the sounds and say it again and find other words with the same sounds.

For example today she said “I don’t like pankins (Spankings)”

So we practiced saying the “S” sound and we said spanking a few times, then we tried to find other words that started with the “S” sound so we could practice. It turns into quite a game for us and we have a good time trying to find words. Today we came up with words like: Silly, Sunday, Summer, Spring, Sweet and Snake.

Later that afternoon I had my little daughter gather towels in the bathroom so I could wash them. As she was caring the towels into the laundry room she said:

Ssss, Sssss, SLAVE!”
