Blanket for Baby Sister

I just finished my third baby blanket, and this one is for Baby Sister
(Baby Sister is her name for now, since we don’t have an official one yet, we are open to suggestions)
This sweet little thing will be the blanket we use on her blessing day and for church.  I love to have a pretty blanket to wrap my babies in for Sunday and other special occasions.

  1. I agree-beautiful! May I ask you what a blessing day is? Is it a baby dedication or something else?
    Blessings,

    • sorry it took so long for me to reply 🙂 In our church, a few weeks after a baby is born the child is given a name and a blessing by a man who is an Elder in the church. Usually it is the baby’s father (as is our case) but it can also be a grandfather, close friend or relative. The baby is given a name, that he or she will be known throughout it’s live and on the records of the church, then is given a personal blessing, that is unique (sp?) to the child. It is a wonderful day, one that I very much anticipate with each of my children. After the blessing and service (we call it Sacrament Meeting) is over all the family that attended is invited to our house for food and a nice long visit.
