The End

After about a week and a half of painting we were finally finished. My brother-in-law did a fabulous job and I was so excited to get decortaing.

In the past I have decorated in the cutsie country fashon, I am now wanting to change a bit and I would like my house to look like a country farm house.

Here are some pictures of what I have done, mixed in with some of the finshed walls.

In the kitchen I did a darker brown and in the living area I did two colors, a light tan and a deep wine.

I have collected Birdhouses over the years, this is my ‘ode to cutsie country, I just couldn’t give up my bird houses (this is about half of the, the other half are going to find homes in the yard this year)

These plates were hand painted by my great-grandmother.

I am so happy with my new-to-me house!

  1. It looks amazing! I need serious help with decorating over here . . . maybe I’ll figure it out some day.

  2. I LOVE IT!!!! Totally love it! The style is exactly what I have wanted to do in my home for so long! Where do you find most of your decorating items??? Oh and your Brother in Law did a GREAT job!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. You have a beautiful home! The colors match really well with your furnishings; all blends perfectly! You’re an inspiration. I think I’ll tackle the boys’ room this spring.

By the way, do you ever sit down?

  4. I love the colors! The green was nice too. 🙂

I’m stuck with eggshell white. I’m too undecided and I’m not good with colors.

What are those colors? I like to hear the names of them I think some of them sound so pretty. 😀

    Hugs!

  5. Congrats on your “new’ house!! I especially like the wall hanging ‘basket’ arrangement of dried flowers, etc + your birdhouse collection! I think the deep wine color is my favorite; I have a thing for the reds of the world!
