Take A Walk

We are off to the pool today, so I thought I would leave you today with pictures of my pitiful garden.

That big empty spot was victim to stray round-up and those nasty little beetles.

Baby Celery

While this bed looks empty, it is really full of onions…my second planting of onions….the first planting came up and promptly died. It was a combination of a few factors that caused their death….most of which were my fault.

This bed is full of seedlings, except for those two beautiful Bok Choy. We ate those on Sunday.
I have pictures.

This bed, which is doing wonderfully. Is full of Carrots, Beans, Parsnips, Turnips and Rutabaga.

Tomatoes

Beans, Carrots, Beets and Zucchini.

How is you garden doing this year?

  1. My garden isn't yet! It's mid-June and it hasn't even been put in the ground yet. Good thing it stays warm through October! It'll be a LATE harvest for us! I've gotten some flowers in, and the herbs. Sadly that is it. Every time Jason has a day off when I can go garden it's either much too hot or it's raining! UGH. We'll see how this next weekend goes. Maybe Saturday will be the magic day.

  2. I think your garden looks great! Are you having fun getting out in it and digging around? I know you are. The round up disaster is something to laugh about.

Our garden is doing alot better after I went back to what I know and what I have been doing. The rouge rabbit hasn't come back might have to do with hubby shooting it even though he just maimed it. I hope to get beans to eat soon and we have a steady supply of yellow squash.

I want to grow celery sometime keep us posted on how it goes.

  3. We have had worse then usual bugs too this year–and those bad guys even attacked my lemon verbena (or maybe it was the slugs). Also, some veggie seeds are either taking forever to germinate or aren't germinating at all–frustrating:(
I think all things considered, you are doing pretty good–we all have challenges at times but your gardens inspire me!
    Blessings,

PS: Your bok choy looks great! Your post about it made me want to try some:) YUM!

  4. Your garden looks great! My carrots are finally starting to look like yours :o) I love how you put the tomato cage on sideways. I'm not sure of the climate difference, but I'm sure your tomatoes will be as big as mine in no time.
