Loving That Man of Mine

I hesitated writing this post, since Dadzoo reads my blog…you will see why if you keep reading.

I was listening to a radio program a week or so ago, the caller was saying that her husband was feeling down and was overwhelmed with work. The caller also admitted that when her husband got home from work she wasn’t the most pleasant person and tended to nag at him. The radio personality told her that that behavior needed to stop. The last thing her husband needed after a long, hard day at work was nagging and bickering when he got home. The lady then asked for advice on how to do that.

The radio personality then gave her an assignment. She told the lady to do three very specific and concrete things to make her husband feel like he was the luckiest guy alive. They then talked a little more, and made a list of things to do and the call ended.

It made me think. I feel like I am pretty nice to come home to on most days, but can’t my husband use a little extra niceness at the end of his day, and no matter how hard my day was, won’t it help perk me to preform three specific acts of service to my husband.

So I will come to the point of this post.

Next week Monday through Friday I am going to do three specific things to make my husband feel like the luckiest guy around, and I want you to join me. Are you in? Now it can’t be anything vague, such as “I will be more appreciative today”. It needs to be something like “I will give him a foot rub while we watch his favorite movie.” or “I will wrap myself around him when he walks in the door and tell him why I love him”.

I will post about what I do every night the first week of February. (What a way to kick off the month of love!) I would like for everyone who takes this challenge to either do a post on it (and let me know so I can link to it) or comment on my blog everyday, I would love to hear what you are doing and I am sure others would too.

So get a pen and paper out, make a list and start lovin’ that man of yours.

(Knowing not everybody has a man to love, if you have a child, parent, sibling or good friend and what to participate pick one of those people and show them that you really appreciate them, and let us all know what you are doing.)
