Treasure

After adding two new members to the family in the last two years my configuration of pictures needed an overhaul.

Seven is a funny number, nothing I tried seemed to work right, and I always had an empty spot somewhere.

So, at the suggestion of my sister, and some browsing pinterest, this is what I came up with.

I am pretty proud of myself,

and it was really nice to be crafty again.

I think it turned out really nice, and balances the whole display.

The Two Newest

One of the things I enjoy doing is making baby blankets for my family and friends.  This pretty little blue number was made for my nephew that was born in October.

It is one of my favorite blankets so far.

After I finished the blue blanket I started on another one, it is a zig zag style in a light yellow.  At first, when I started it, I had no one that I was making it for specifically, it kind of made me sad.  However, within days of starting it, a good friend of my shared a special secret, and now this little yellow blanket has an owner!

Congratulations, my special friend.
(Who shall remain nameless at this time!)

For The Love of Pink

I purchased this on line at "Sew Mama Sew" and when it came it was packaged with this pretty little fabric bow. I love little touches like this.

Bestill my ever lovin’ pink heart.

I couldn't help but fall in love with the rosebud pattern, and the stripes won my heart too.

I love pink (good thing I have 5 daughters) and I love shabby chic.
So when I saw this pink shabby chic cotton print fabric on sale I had to purchase.
It is destine to become a baby quilt, with a soft pink minky back.

"My colors are blush and bashful"...."Her colors are pink, and pink!" (Can you name the movie?)

I think it will look lovely in the white on white nursery….

Sneak Peek

The nursery is nearly complete.
It required a little construction,
a lot of paint,
and was so much fun to do!

I have always wanted to do a “white on white” room
(white is my favorite color after all)
and so I decided that this nursery would be just that, white on white.
I figured it was a prudent choice, when other babies, boy babies to be exact, come along it will be easy to make into a boys room too.

As soon as it is complete,
I will
to be sure
post many more pictures.

But I couldn’t help posting a little sneak peek.
